BIOGRAPHY

Elena_Kuzenko.jpg

I am Elena Kuzenko, in Ukrainian Olena Kuzenko, a professional oil painter based in Odesa, Ukraine. My artistic journey began at the prestigious St. Petersburg Art School, where I received a rigorous classical education that formed the foundation of my technical expertise.
In my practice, I work primarily with oils, focusing on contemporary and impressionistic realism. My goal is to capture the essence of light, shadow, and color, translating the subtle atmosphere of the world around me onto the canvas. I find profound beauty in everyday scenes and philosophical themes, and I strive to invite the viewer into a space of quiet contemplation through my work.
Over the years, I have dedicated myself to refining my craft, balancing traditional academic discipline with a modern, emotive approach to brushwork. I am proud that my work has gained international recognition, including features in professional artist publications. For me, painting is a continuous exploration, and I am deeply committed to connecting with those who value the enduring power of fine art. My painting style is deeply inspired by the mastery of light and shadow found in the works of Rembrandt, the fluid brushwork of John Singer Sargent, and the atmospheric color palette of Claude Monet.Oil painting, figurative art, woman by the sea, coastal landscape, meditative mood, original artwork, serene art, contemporary oil painting, seascape, emotional art, fine art for home decor. This original oil painting captures a serene and meditative moment by the sea. A young woman sits on the coastal rocks, lost in thought as she connects with the vastness of the ocean. The soft, natural light and gentle palette are designed to bring a sense of peace and tranquility into your living space.
I have focused on the harmony between the human spirit and nature, using classic oil painting techniques to create depth and texture. This piece is a beautiful addition to any collection, perfect for those who appreciate the quiet beauty of the seaside. My artistic practice is rooted in the traditions of the Classical Academic School, which allows me to work with high precision regarding form, anatomy, and light. I work exclusively in oil on canvas (oil on canvas), often employing a multi-layered technique (glazing / multi-layered technique). This approach enables me to achieve deep, rich colors and subtle transitions of light and shadow (chiaroscuro).

In 2026 I became a Winner of the XX International Art Festival 'MALUY.UA' (Kyiv, Ukraine). My works wons & Recognition:ere selected by the professional jury for public exhibition at the Freedom of the Ukrainian People Arch.
